RevIt Sand 5 H2O Jacket Grey/Dark Grey

The Sand series is an icon in the REV'IT! line-up, embodying a distinctive style that has, over the years, defined travel within the motorcycle industry. That legacy continues with the Sand 5 H2O jacket.

THE EVOLUTION

The latest iteration of the Sand series represents an evolution rather than a revolution. This change is marked by small tweaks and adjustments aimed at enhancing its overall performance. The Sand 5 jacket (as part of the Sand 5 outfit with matching pants) remains as relevant today as it was 15 years ago. In crafting the Sand 5, a delicate balance is struck, paying homage to the past while looking towards the future.

SHIFTING STYLES

The Sand 5 H2O jacket takes on a slightly more sport-driven character compared to the Sand 4. As adventure bikes become more sport-centric and dynamic, the Sand 5 H2O reflects this industry shift. Matching the fast-paced nature of sport and the thirst for the uncharted, the Sand 5 H2O jacket fuses two genres into one. Furthermore, the jacket is hydration pack prepared in the lower back pocket (like with our Trail vest), with a cut-out in the left corner to feed a water tube underneath the arm and up the front to be attached on the left side.

THE OVER AND UNDER CONCEPT

Like we previously introduced in one of our ADV jackets—the Offtrack 2 H2O—we’ve taken our know-how of the proven over and under waterproof liner concept and applied it to our Sand 5 H2O jacket. Wear the detachable hydratex 3L liner over or under your protective layer according to your personalized preference for keeping the rain away—and keeping you dry. Though we recommend wearing it over because of the high-performance characteristics of the membrane and its design-driven aesthetics. A detachable, separately wearable thermal liner is also included to up the ante on warmth and comfort on cold, rainy days.

COMFORT & FEATURES

• The long connection zipper is the longer, more secure choice of our two connection zipper options. It lets you zip the motorcycle jacket and motorcycle pants together as one. For comfort and for safety.
• The short connection zipper is the shorter, simpler and quicker choice of our two connection zipper options. It lets you zip the motorcycle jacket and motorcycle pants together as one. For comfort and for safety.
• The zipper at the cuff allows for easier entry into the sleeve and lets you wear the glove cuff under your outer shell and over your base layer.
• For extra comfort, the inside of the collar is covered with a soft fabric.
• The two-way collar snap closure system works to close the collar in inclement weather and also flips back and reverses to use the same snap closure to keep the collar open and out of the way to allow in fresh air.
• Whether carrying the jacket or hanging it out to dry after a wet ride, the sturdy external hang loop is a practical addition to the design.

• The REV’IT! flexisnap makes it possible to adjust the collar circumference easily and personalize its fit to each rider. A jacket is often worn in more then one season, and the flexisnap makes it possible to adjust the collar within seconds. During winter a wider collar circumference accommodates combining the jacket with a balaclava or wind collar, while during summer, a wider circumference lets an all-important cooling wind into the collar.

FIT

Regular fit, designed for comfortable wear, and it’s tailored to suit different body shapes and sizes. However, it is not considered loose. It falls around the body instead of conforming to the rider's physique.

• Certified CE-level 2 shoulder & elbow armour according to the new norm EN 1621-1:2012 the SEEFLEX protector is the latest innovation from the in-house R&D department. The new norm also tests the impact levels in various temperature ranges. The SEEFLEX protectors easily surpass the new norm without sacrificing wearer comfort.
• Ready for Avertum Tech-Air airbag system - ONE SIZE UP
  • Under this garment you can wear our REV'IT! Avertum Tech-Air Airbag - or a Tech5 airbag - if you purchase the garment one size bigger than your usual size. If you wish to wear a garment that is marked as "Ready for Avertum Tech-Air airbag system", you must be sure that the garment can accommodate the expansion of the airbag and therefore we recommend following below fit equation: 1. Measure chest circumference and divide the measurement by two; 2. Measure garment flat on chest line; 3. If the difference between point 1 and point 2 is 12 centimetres or bigger the garment is suitable to wear on top of the airbag. Note: Please keep in mind that the garment should be purchased in the correct size in order for the shoulder and elbow protection to fit properly and best protect you in case of a crash. In order to create space for the expansion of the airbag, you can remove all separate layers (thermal liners, water proof liners) that can restrict the expansion of the airbag in the event of a crash. Remove the separate back protector in your garment, if any, when wearing the airbag (a back protector is included in the airbag) and adjust all adjustment straps on body to the widest position.
